Former Committees

The Council shall, under the guidance of the CWI Chair, form committees or working groups on an as-needed basis to formalize a structure for Council members and stakeholders in Wisconsin's workforce and talent development system to actively participate in the maintenance, support, and refinement of the system's activities.

The following are no longer standing committees. These materials are retained for reference purposes.

  • Partnership Development Committee

    The Partnership Development Committee is a CWI working committee new in 2017. The Partnership Development Committee assists in driving initiatives that ensure the building of workforce development systems that meet the needs of both job seekers of any age and ability and employers throughout Wisconsin.

  • Resource Alignment Committee

    The Resource Alignment Committee is a CWI working committee new in 2017. The Resource Alignment Committee is creating an alignment of resources for innovative workforce and educational partnerships to assist in the development of game-changing reforms for the skills required in high-demand fields.

  • Strategic Initiatives Committee

    The Strategic Initiatives Committee is a CWI working committee new in 2017. The Strategic Initiatives Committee provides oversight and management expertise on the state's strategic plan, develops and expands strategies for partnerships in in-demand sectors and occupations, and suggests and reviews strategies to enhance Wisconsin's various workforce systems.

  • Task Force on Minority Unemployment

    The Task Force on Minority Unemployment is charged with coordinating efforts across agencies and programs with the ultimate goal of reducing minority unemployment in the Milwaukee area.

  • Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Committee

    The WIOA Committee is a CWI working committee new in 2017. The WIOA Committee assists the Governor in carrying out his statutory requirements in compliance with federal WIOA guidelines, as listed in 20 CFR ยง 679.130.

  • Wisconsin Agricultural Education and Workforce Development

    The Wisconsin Agricultural Education and Workforce Development Committee provides advice and counsel to state agencies, educational institutions, and the Wisconsin Legislature on matters related to agricultural education and workforce development. In addition the committee helps attract, develop and retain the superior workforce required to grow Wisconsin's production agriculture, agribusiness, food and natural resource sectors.
